Elul

Erev Rosh Chodesh Elul
According to a tradition, the month of Elul, the month of mercy and forgiveness, opens with a pilgrimage to the graves of saints and holy people. In Ma'arat HaMachpela are the most well-known of all holy people, the Patriarchs of our nation. That day, Rosh Chodesh Elul, is called “Hilulat HaAvot”, the Holy celebration recalling our forefathers, and praying on that day in Ma'arat HaMachpela has special merit. On that day, chartered buses leave for Hebron from various places in Israel, notably Jerusalem. For details, contact us at 02- 9965333,  shalom@machpela.com
